Growing fruit trees as a crop

Fruit trees can be used on farm in much more better ways than they are now. The purpose of the ITFSP project is to look at what is now being done, point out good experiences and poor ones, decide in what ways growing fruit trees on farms can be improved, and help bring about those improvements.

What is ITFSP doing?

• Survey and analyse what is now being done and see how present practices can be made better
• Improve the way in which extension services work with farmers growing trees as crops
• When new methods or techniques have been developed, help spread information about them to farmers in the area
